Gordon Equipments Limited, founded in 1936 by Frederick Gordon, has supplied the automotive aftermarket with quality components for over 70 years.
Originally based in London, we have operated from our 6000 square metre factory since 1972. Battery maintenance items formed our original product range which has grown substantially and currently includes lighting, switches, cable and wiring accessories, CCTV, electrical accessories, relays and flasher units, replacement electrical components, and workshop and test equipment.
The range has applications in the automotive, leisure/marine, agricultural and industrial markets. We constantly evaluate our markets and develop the product range to reflect changes in technology and customer requirements.
Our products are supplied to the aftermarket through a network of nationwide distributors. We also supply the MoD and several specialist manufacturers direct with Durite components as original equipment.
Customer service has always been at the forefront of our marketing strategy and we can boast an enviable availability on our range of products, picking in excess of 99% of order lines first time, with orders shipped same day on a 24 hour service.
In 1994 our Quality Control System was accredited to BS5750, followed by ISO9002, and BS EN ISO9001:2000 in 2003. We continue to invest in the latest IT systems to compliment our robust supply chain management and constantly monitor our supply base and in-house production to ensure specifications are met and value is added to the product. In addition our Technical Services Department monitors product quality and is able to advise on all technical issues. The automotive market is particularly competitive and we strive to ensure the Durite brand always represents affordable quality.
By investing in modern marketing tools and methods to bring our customers products and services suitable for today's market, we intend to continue to set the benchmark for customer care that has been identified with Gordon Equipments Limited for the past 70 years.
